James Gunn Confirms ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Score Complete

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is fast approaching and director James Gunn is busy with post-production for the film. Just last week, the international trailer debuted, so there’s definitely a lot of excitement and hype for the film.

James Gunn is very active on social media and recently posted a picture to Instagram of a chorus group at Abbey Road Studios recording the score for the Marvel sequel. The director updated fans and noted that this is the final day at the recording studio.

“Our last day at @abbeyroadstudios & we recorded the chorus, which we use extensively, and fills out our score in a big way. #gotgvol2 #score

Here is the Instagram post by James Gunn.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack is being scored by Tyler Bates. Bates also scored the film’s predecessor and used the same studio to do so.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Kurt Russell, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, and Michael Rooker. The film is in theaters May 5, 2017.
