Elizabeth Faith Ludlow & Rizwan Manji Join James Gunn’s ‘Peacemaker’

Peacemaker adds two more to its cast!

Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji have joined James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad spin-off series centered on John Cena’s Peacemaker.

James Gunn is just about finished with The Suicide Squad and is now moving on to direct Peacemaker episodes in Vancouver. In addition to John Cena, Steve Agee, and Jennifer Holland reprising their roles from The Suicide Squad, the upcoming HBO Max series will also star Danielle Brooks, Chris Conrad, Robert Patrick, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang, and Christopher Heyerdahl. Deadline is now reporting that Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji have also joined the cast as filming is underway.

Elizabeth Faith Ludlow comes from The Walking Dead fame as Arat, and in Peacemaker, she will play a character named Keeya. Rizwan Manji is best known for his roles in Harmony, The Magicians, Mr. Robot, and Schitt’s Creek. In The Suicide Squad spin-off series, he will play Jami. No other details were revealed in Deadline’s report.

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on a fresh take on the team in his upcoming movie.
