James Gunn On Whether He’d Return For A Third ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Movie

Director James Gunn is currently hard at work on filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 with the rest of the cast and crew of the movie in Atlanta, but it sounds like there have already been discussions about the possibility of a third ensemble movie down the line.

During his latest Facebook Live Q&A with fans, Gunn revealed that he has spoken with Marvel Studios about possibly returning for another Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but he isn’t exactly sure if that’s what he wants to do after he’s done with the second one:

“Right now I really am just concerned with doing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I’m not sure what I’m going to do after this… Marvel has talked to me about continuing on. I’m not sure if that’s what I want to do or if that’s not what I want to do. I really just want to make Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 the greatest possible movie that I can, and something that’s as honest and sincere and true as it can possibly be.”

Seeing as production on Vol. 2 only started a little over a month ago, it’s definitely too early to tell whether or not he’ll be back for another one. What do you guys think? Would you like to see one more Guardians of the Galaxy movie from Gunn? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section below.
