James Gunn Shares BTS Look As John Cena’s ‘Peacemaker’ Series Begins Filming

James Gunn has shared a behined-the-scenes look as filming for The Suicde Squad spin-off series for HBO Max following John Cena’s Peacemaker starts filming.

The Suicide Squad is the next DC film on the release schedule and will currently release simultaneously on HBO Max like Wonder Woman 1984. James Gunn has been in post-production on the project for sometime and before he returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, he will first direct episodes for a Peacemaker series starring John Cena.

During DC FanDome, we got our first glimpse at what James Gunn is brewing with The Suicide Squad and also revealed who each actor is playing in the film. John Cena is Peacemaker in the upcoming film, who was described as a douchey Captain America in the DC FanDome featurette for the film. Over the last few weeks, Peacemaker has been adding to its cast which includes Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Chris Conrad, Jennifer Holland, Robert Patrick, Chukwudi Iwuji , Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang, and Christopher Heyerdahl. Peacemaker has now begun filming in Vancover and Gunn has shared a behind-the-scenes picture on social media to celebrate:
