RUMOR: James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ Seeking An Alien ‘Femme Fatale’

Revenge of The Fans reports James Gunn is seeking an actress to portray an alien femme fatale in The Suicide Squad.

Warner Bros. and DC’s The Suicide Squad is set to feature some returning supervillains, but writer and director James Gunn will also introduce new characters to the line-up and one of the newcomers will reportedly be an alien femme fatale. According to the outlet, an actress between the ages of 20 and 30 is being sought to play the character, who is described as a “surly, muscular alien woman.” The role will also reportedly require the use of prosthetics.

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. James Gunn is expected to deliver on the new take on the supervillain team with his upcoming movie with Idris Elba taking over the role of Deadshot and Jai Courtney reprising his role as Captain Boomerang.

The Suicide Squad is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. The list also includes The Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern Corps, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, Nightwing, Supergirl and New Gods.

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 6, 2021.
