James Gunn Reveals New Logo For ‘The Suicide Squad’

The new logo for James Gunn's 'The Suicide Squad' features a pretty bold design.

A new logo for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad was revealed by the director on social media.

The Suicide Squad director James Gunn revealed a brand new logo for the supervillain team-up movie, which gives off a bold look for the film. After many fans were concerned that the film would be interfered with by Warner Bros. following all the recent discussion over Zack Snyder’s Justice League and David Ayer‘s Suicide Squad, Gunn explained that the film is “no-holds-barred-ME”, and hasn’t been changed by the studio.

The director revealed the new logo on both his Instagram page and his Twitter account, showing off the bold yellow, red and black color scheme for the film. It takes its cues from the original John Ostrander run of the comics as well as the New 52 era. While it’s quite basic, since it’s just a mix of a bold font and bright colors, it’s instantly recognizable. It’ll be interesting to see what the rest of the marketing for the new film will look like. Take a look at the new logo for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad below.

What do you think of the new logo for The Suicide Squad? Are you hoping to see a trailer for the film at DC FanDome later this month? Sound-off in the comments below!

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the team in his upcoming movie.

Written and directed by James Gunn, The Suicide Squad stars David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Jai Courtney, Joaquín Cosío, Nathan Fillion, Joel Kinnaman, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga, Steve Agee, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, and Michael Rooker.

Suicide Squad is available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news surrounding the DC Extended Universe and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
