While Warner Bros. and DC’s Suicide Squad was a box office hit, reactions towards the film were more mixed and the studio opted to take the supervillain team in a new direction for the follow-up with James Gunn at the helm. Now, Gunn is hard at work editing The Suicide Squad from the safety of his home and fans are eager to see the filmmaker’s fresh take on the titular team.
There has been speculation that The Suicide Squad could be rated R and while that remains unconfirmed, James Gunn addressed the matter in response to fan’s question on Twitter. While Gunn acknowledged that he knows what the rating for the film will be, he can’t reveal it just yet.

The first film followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the Suicide Squad in his upcoming movie.
