James McAvoy Shares His Hatred For His Shaved ‘X-Men’ Head

James McAvoy has revealed that he really hates his shaved head. The actor is currently bald to reprise his role as Charles “Professor X” Xavier in the upcoming X-Men film, Dark Pheonix.

In case you didn’t remember, Charles went bald at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse, and it appears that he won’t be growing his hair back anytime soon. James McAvoy also recently went bald for M. Night Shyamalan’s Split.

While speaking with People, James McAvoy discussed how he detests his new hairdo or lack thereof,

“I used to like the fact that it afforded me a certain amount of anonymity but it no longer does that. Since I did two movies that everybody saw where I had a bald head, now it’s like a f—ing beacon. But what do I like about it? Not a lot at the moment. I like when it’s been about five or seven days going in, then it’s cool but when it’s properly skinhead I look a bit weird. I do like the fact that I don’t have to do anything in the morning.”

It appears that James McAvoy is being typecasted as bald men considering that he also looked shaven for his role in the recent Atomic Blonde. Whatever the case may be, McAvoy will have to continue to sport his bald look as X-Men: Dark Pheonix will reportedly finish filming at the end of October.

Directed by Simon Kinberg, X-Men: Dark Phoenix will star Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Kodi-Smit McPhee, and Alexandra Shipp.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be hitting theaters on November 2, 2018.
