James Woods Slams Disney For Bringing Back James Gunn But Not Roseanne

James Woods recently slammed Disney on his Twitter after they reinstated director James Gunn on Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 and didn’t follow suit bringing back Roseanne Barr on her series.

James Woods pointed out what some parts of the internet are now also echoing. The actor published a tweet where he criticized Disney for its decision to bring back James Gunn to direct Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 and still ignore Roseanne Barr for her racial comments on Twitter some months ago. This is what James Woods tweeted:

In a similar case to what James Gunn did on Twitter, Roseanne Barr exited her own series, Roseanne, after comparing Ex-President Barack Obama’s counselor Valerie Jarret to a monkey. The tweet generated such an outrage on social media that she was booted out of her series and it followed suit ending unceremoniously soon after.

Disney, which owns the ABC network, has been very strict when it comes down to these kinds of attitudes and comments on the social media accounts of the talent they employ.

This year’s first Marvel Studios film to hit theaters will be Carol Danvers’ own Captain Marvel. Here’s the film’s synopsis:

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

Captain Marvel is now in theaters.

Next in line is Avengers: Endgame and then we’ll get Spider-Man: Far From Home. The Marvel Cinematic Universe after that is still a mystery, although several rumors are pointing to a Black Widow, a Shang-Chi and an Eternals film currently under development and coming in the next few months. Also, sequels for Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Captain Marvel will be appearing on the MCU slate in the near future.

James Gunn had completed his script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and production was scheduled to begin early this year. However, the project was put on hold following the decision to remove James Gunn as the director of the final chapter in the trilogy, though Disney and Marvel Studios reportedly intended to use his script. Now, production on the third Guardians film will begin after James Gunn directs The Suicide Squad for Warner Bros.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sean Gunn.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest updates on the Marvel Studios films as they develop!
