New Photo Of Jared Leto’s Joker In ‘Suicide Squad’ Surfaces

It’s interesting how a lot of the more interesting things and ideas done with the Joker in Suicide Squad ended up on the cutting room floor or were just shown in trailers and spots. Things like the Joker with the burned face to him dropping the smoke grenade in a deleted scene that was filmed, but never seen in the final product. Such is the case with Suicide Squad, but this is less about what could have been and more about seeing something slightly different.

And I do mean slightly in every sense of the word because what you’re about to see could easily be seen by watching the scene from Suicide Squad in question and hitting the pause button. Nonetheless, this photo comes courtesy of one Reddit user who shared a photo of Jared Leto’s Joker during the nightclub scene where anyone who wanted a piece of Harley Quinn could try if they dared. From the hole at the very top of the photo, it almost looks like it’s from a calendar if ever there was one centered around Suicide Squad. Here, have a look and you be the judge.

Again, you take one look at the photo and it doesn’t seem all that different from the shots of the Joker from the film itself and just hitting the pause button. But then, we don’t spend a ton of time at the night club with the Joker during Suicide Squad, so it’s also plausible that it’s from a longer take of the scene itself that was not used in the final version. Since Joker apparently won’t be a part of Birds of Prey, it’s more than we’ll see of him for some time until the next DCEU film where he’s featured, so soak it all in.

With that said, what do you think of the photo? Wwhere would you hope to see Leto’s Joker utilized moving forward in the DCEU? Let us know in the comments below.

Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad was released in 2016 and starred Cara Delevingne, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, and Scott Eastwood. The film is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
