Suicide Squad star Jared Leto is set to star in Disney's Tron 3!
Following yesterday’s news that Disney has tapped Lion helmer Garth Davis to direct Tron 3, Suicide Squad star Jared Leto has revealed that he is indeed attached to the the long-gestating project. Leto has been rumored for the third Tron movie since March 2017. Back then, Disney was said to be developing the project as a reboot instead of a sequel to 2010’s Tron: Legacy, with Leto playing a character named Ares.
Jared Leto took to his official Twitter page to confirm his involvement in the third Tron movie, saying that he is “struck with such gratitude for the opportunity to bring this movie to life.” Leto also mentioned that he was a fan of the original Tron video game and its 1982 film adaptation.
