After making his first full appearance as Aquaman in Justice League, Jason Moma reprised his role in the DC hero’s first standalone film and it proved to a $1 billion dollar box office success. Shortly after, an Aquaman sequel was officially put in development with Jason Momoa set to return as the newly crowned King of Atlantis.
Of course, details on Aquaman 2 are currently under wraps, but Jason Momoa shared a new social media to tease fans that the sequel will be “off the hook!” Jason Momoa shared the video on his Instagram story feed while showing footage of the Aquaman actor with the film’s stunt team.

Scheduled to be released in theaters on December 16, 2022, Aquaman 2 will be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and directed by James Wan. In the meantime, fans can relive Jasn Momoa’s first solo outing as Aquaman on all home media formats.
