Jason Momoa Doesn’t See Robert Pattinson’s Batman Teaming Up With Aquaman

Jason Momoa doesn’t see his Aquaman partnering up with Robert Pattinson’s Batman on the big screen.

In a recent interview, Jason Momoa said that he doesn’t think Arthur Curry will ever meet Robert Pattinson’s Batman in the DC Extended Universe. While talking about his new Apple TV+ series See, the Aquaman star was asked what he thought about his stepdaughter being cast as Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, describing the casting as “perfect.” The Aquaman star also expressed his excitement at seeing Robert Pattinson take on the Batman role going forward in the DCEU.

But when the interviewer asked Jason Momoa if fans could ever expect to see the three of them onscreen together, the Aquaman star instantly dismissed the idea. He explained that he thinks the two franchises are completely different, leaving not much room for any crossover. It’s obvious Jason Momoa is excited to see what The Batman will look like, but he’s got no interest in seeing a huge team-up with his stepdaughter’s Catwoman and Batman anytime soon. Take a look at the Aquaman star discussing a crossover with Robert Pattinson’s Batman below.

Jason Momoa: “I mean it would be awesome but I don’t think it’s going that way. Let’s just let them do their thing and I’m gonna do my thing.”

Full plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves project will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon.

The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Robert Pattinson, Batman, Jason Momoa and Aquaman!
