There’s only one Aquaman. Not Aqualad. But Aquaman. And right now, he’s also Jason Momoa. December is now upon us, meaning that James Wan’s upcoming Aquaman film will be hitting screens in a few weeks. In conjunction with that, the cast and crew have been hitting the press circuit to promote the film just before viewers have a chance to reel in the experience for themselves.
For today’s particular story, you may recall that recently it was revealed that Jason Momoa’s take on Arthur Curry would receive a lifelike wax figure at Madame Tussauds. Well, during a presser that included Momoa, as well as Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, and director James Wan, Momoa had a chance to meet his wax figure counterpart, which you can see in the tweet below from Hoai-Trai Bui over at Slashfilm.
The resemblance is uncanny, right? Not to mention that the wax figure of Momoa’s Arthur Curry is clad in the classic comic book designed armor that we’ve seen in images and trailers for Aquaman. Not that Arthur should expect a double of him to pop up in the film anytime soon since he’s already got Mera at his side during the film.
And judging from the above photo, even Momoa himself looks impressed by himself. Well, himself in wax figure form, anyway. But what do you think of the Aquaman wax figure? And what have been your thoughts on the press tour for the upcoming film as well? Do you already have your ticket for Aquaman? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming DC film.
Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman.
The film will swim into theaters on December 21, 2018.
