The second post-credits scene at the end of 2017’s Justice League teased the appearance of The Legion of Doom, with Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) recruiting Slade Wilson (Joe Manganiello), aka Deathstroke, and seemingly wanting to recruit more members. Aquaman finally hits U.S. theaters next week and it introduces another iconic member of The Legion of Doom.
Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is one of the multiple villains that will appear in Aquaman and many fans are hoping to see the iconic villain show up in Justice League 2. While promoting Aquaman, star Jason Momoa talked with Toronto Sun about the subject and seemed just as excited about the idea as fans. This is what Momoa had to say about the Legion of Doom in Justice League 2.
“Absolutely! I loved working with all my castmates on Justice League. But I feel like Flash is probably going to get a solo movie. Flashpoint and Ezra (Miller) need to happen. His character deserves his own movie. Wonder Woman 2 is on the way, so that’s phenomenal. I’m not sure what they’re doing with Batman, and I’ve heard Henry (Cavill) is out as Superman, so I don’t know the shape of Justice League without Superman and Batman.
But the Legion of Doom; seeing all the bad guys together and seeing us come in would be awesome. If that s—- happens, they better let me in. I’d definitely like to come riding in on a tidal wave to whoop some ass.”
Aquaman doesn’t swim into theaters until December 21st in the U.S., but special screenings are being held tonight, Dec. 15th, exclusively for Amazon Prime members. If you didn’t get the chance to get tickets and have to wait until next week to see Aquaman, you may want to be careful about spoilers online starting tonight.
