The first Shazam! movie opened in theaters this past April and has so far grossed more than $360 million at the worldwide box office. The sequel is being written by Henry Gayden, who penned the original.
Dwayne Johnson was last seen in Fighting with My Family. His next two movies are the Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw and the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel.
