Javicia Leslie’s ‘Batwoman’ & ‘Riverdale’ To Resume Filming After Shutdown

The CW is getting back to work on both shows.

Production is set to resume on Javicia Leslie’s Batwoman and Riverdale after a brief shutdown caused by covid-19 test delays.

Both Batwoman and Riverdale will resume production in Vancouver this week after a brief shutdown due to a delay in processing covid-19 tests. Variety confirmed the news that The CW is getting back to work on both shows in British Colombia and a Netflix miniseries, Maid, will also resume filming. The delay was caused since there was only one laboratory approved to conduct tests. However, it seems the Javicia Leslie series and Riverdale are the only shows from The CW resuming production in the area.

While Riverdale and Batwoman get back to work from Wednesday, work on other shows like Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash has still been halted for the moment. Fans are particularly keen to see more from Batwoman since Javicia Leslie has only been briefly glimpsed in the role as she fills the void left by Ruby Rose’s departure from the show. But since Batwoman and Riverdale are back to work, it’s only a matter of time before The CW’s other shows start filming again.

What do you make of the Riverdale and Batwoman news? Do you think it’s too early for both shows to resume filming? Are you excited to see more from Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for Batwoman season two:

Season two kicks off with a major game-changer that will alter Gotham and The Bat Team forever. As the dust settles, Batwoman has everything working against her – including the recently escaped rogues’ gallery of villains – and everyone will come to see her in a whole new light. Alice meets her match when she becomes entangled with a dangerous foe from her past who knows exactly how to prey on her vulnerabilities. As Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang) find their footing as sidekicks, a romance will shake up their dynamic. Meanwhile, Sophie (Megan Tandy) and Julia’s (guest star Christina Wolfe) budding relationship will face its first real test and make Sophie question everything she thought she knew to be true.

Batwoman season two is currently set to air in 2021 on The CW. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Javicia Leslie, Batwoman and the future of Riverdale, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original content!
