Director Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok introduced Jeff Goldblum to Marvel Cinematic Universe as the eccentric and hedonistic ruler Sakaar known as the Grandmaster. Last seen in the Thor: Ragnarok post-credits scene being surrounded by his former subjects after being overthrown, Jeff Goldblum’s humorous performance as the Grandmaster proved to be one of the many keys to the success of the film.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios officially announced plans for Thor: Love and Thunder, with Taika Waititi returning to the director’s chair to guide a cast that includes Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. While Jeff Goldblum was not officially named as one of the cast members, the beloved actor recently shared a post on his Twitter account featuring the Love and Thunder logo. In the post, Jeff Goldblum thanked Taika Waititi, leading many to suspect the Grandmaster will return for the fourth Thor film.
