Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has confirmed that Ann Wolfe has been cast as Artemis in the upcoming Gal Gadot movie.
Artemis of Bana-Mighdall is an insanely strong, crossbow touting warrior who is an ally of the Amazonians. She first appeared in September 1994 during Wonder Woman issue 90.
Since speculation had her penned as Alcippe, it is good that we have cleared up who Wolfe is playing just months before the release of the film.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Wonder Woman will arrive in theaters on June 2nd, 2017. Stay tuned for the latest news on Wonder Woman and the future of the DC Extended Universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
