‘Jessica Jones’ Season 3 Features A Captain Marvel Easter Egg

The third season of Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones features a cool nod to Captain Marvel.

In the previous season of  Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Trish Walker underwent a dangerous experiment in hopes of gaining powers of her own and while the risk was great, the procedure delivered the desired results. When the third season of the Krysten Ritter series begins, Trish has become a vigilante and the second episode of the season offers fans a glimpse at her training to become a hero.

During this scene, Trish tries on various costumes that pay tribute to the characters numerous Hellcat outfits in the comics. However, at one point Trish dons a costume that is nearly identical to the outfit worn by Captain Marvel and even puts on a blonde wig to complete to the ensemble. The nod to Captain Marvel will likely amuse comic book fans as Trish Walker’s role as Jessica’s best friend is traditionally filled by Carol Danvers in the comics.

Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel is currently available on all home media formats while Jessica Jones season 3 is now on Netflix.

Here’s the official synopsis for Jessica Jones:

When Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down. But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter, Rachel TaylorEka Darville, Benjamin Walker, Jeremy Bobb, Sarita Choudhury, Tiffany Mack, Jessica Frances Dukes, Aneesh Sheth, Rebecca DeMornay, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
