The news came earlier today when it was announced that both The Punisher and Jessica Jones were being canceled. This followed the unmourned cancellation of Iron Fist, the shocking ending of Luke Cage, and the axing of Daredevil. Fans had been bracing for the end of Punisher and Jessica Jones as well and today we finally got that confirmation that it was happening. Earlier today, Jessica Jones showrunner Melissa Rosenberg reacted to this cancellation but also promised a big appearance in the final season.
In a Tweet, the Jessica Jones showrunner thanked all of her fans and followers for making it such a great ride. She also assured that the show would be going out with a bang and can’t wait for fans to see it:
A fan later said farewell to Kilgrave with a sad face. Jessica Jones‘ showrunner, however, teased that they weren’t quite done with the character yet:
From the look of things, we may have one more big appearance from David Tennant’s big bad!
