Joaquin Phoenix Gets Classic Joker Costume In New Image

Digital artist jscomicart has created an image that imagines Joaquin Phoenix with a Joker look that resembled Heath Ledger’s Clown Prince of Crime in The Dark Knight.

Todd Phillips’ Joker will present audiences with a new take on the classic DC Comics villain and acclaimed actor Joaquin Phoenix has been tasked with bringing this new incarnation of the character to life. Of course, with this new take on the Joker comes a different design for Joaquin Phoenix’s version of the character, but digital artist “jscomicart” created fan art that shows what the villain might have looked like with a design that more closely resembles Heath Ledger’s incarnation from The Dark Knight. Much like Heath Ledger’s Clown Prince of Crime in The Dark Knight, this fan rendition of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker has black makeup surrounding his eyes and a thinner Glasgow smile.

You can check out the post below to see what Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker might look like with a design similar to Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight!

What do you think of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker look? Do you think the Heath Ledger styled design from The Dark Knight would have been better instead of the look Joaquin Phoenix has in the film? Let us know below!

The origin story is set to be a gritty and grounded crime film set in 1980s Gotham City, following Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck: a failed 1980s comedian who becomes The Joker after bombing with audiences. The film has been officially described by the studio as an “exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale.” It will serve as DC’s first film set outside the current cinematic universe.

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019. But before that Warner Bros. has Shazam! which is now playing. Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker will be followed by Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020.

Joker is one of the many projects in the works at Warner Bros. and DC Films, including The Batman, The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Supergirl, New Gods, Nightwing, a Deathstroke film, Justice League DarkBatgirl, and Birds of Prey.
