Joaquin Phoenix Wreaks Havoc In Subway As Joker In New Set Photos

But wait! There’s more. From test footage to set photos and videos to footage to…well, more photos of Joaquin Phoenix donning the classic makeup and becoming the Joker in Todd Phillips’ film based on the DC Comics’s Clown Prince of Crime.

The most recent set videos in a New York City subway station showed Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker stepping calmly off a train filled with panic passengers just ready to get off of the ride. But that was a just video, not necessarily as good as a high quay photo of Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker. Well, leave it to some eagle-eyed bystanders and users online to provide some quick looks at Phoenix’s Joker, which you can see in the tweets below, as well as more in the link that will be provided at the end of this story:

And a further look at Phoenix in the images below:

Indeed, all it takes is one bad day and it remains to be seen just what it is that will push Arthur over the top and turn him into the infamous Batman villain. And as indicated prior, the design and aesthetics take inspiration from not just Cesar Romero’s look, but also a bit of Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger in Batman and The Dark Knight respectively.

What do you think of how Phoenix looks as the Joker so far? And what do you think he will look like in an official image from Warner Bros? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more Joker updates.

Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker will be released on October 4, 2019. The cast currently includes Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker, Marc Maron, Glenn Fleshler, Shea Whigham, Zazie Beetz, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Josh Pais, and Brett Cullen as Thomas Wayne.
