Another Mark Millar adaptation moves forward!
Many of Mark Millar’s comic books have made their way to the big screen from Kick-Ass, Kingsman, Wanted, and others. Jupiter’s Legacy is another adaptation of Millar’s that will be brought to life soon. Other projects like Nemesis and Starlight have also been in the works for a while with the latter finally moving forward with Joe Cornish.
In 2015, it was reported 20th Century Fox was developing a Starlight film with Rogue One‘s Gary Whitta on board to pen the script. TheWrap reports Joe Cornish, best known for Attack the Block, will now write and direct the live-action Starlight adaptation for 20th Century Studios. Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon, and Nira Park will produce with Brian Dukes overseeing the film. Starlight tells the story of Duke McQueen decades after he saved the universe. Now, one more adventure awaits for McQueen when he encounters his old rocket ship. The six-issue comic book series from Mark Millar came out in 2014 under Image Comics.
