Joe Manganiello was recently a guest on The Rich Eisen Show, where he took a moment to discuss his role as Deathstroke in Ben Affleck's Batman movie.
At this stage, Joe Manganiello is not allowed to reveal much about the film, which isn’t that surprising. He did say that he could “speak cryptically about it,” though, so he gave a couple of fun answers to dodge his questions. When asked about the film’s plot and his role in it, Manganiello said the following:
“It’s about Gotham. And there’s this guy that dresses like a bat… I play a one-eyed — like, the world’s deadliest assassin, who also has one eye.”
That’s not all, though. When the host asked him whether or not he has wrapped on the project, Joe Manganiello dropped a pretty interesting tidbit:
“Uh, no. We will start at some point this year, it looks like.”
Now, this could mean a lot of things. As far as we know, The Batman isn’t expected to start filming until next Spring (something that we know thanks to Manganiello himself), so Joe Manganiello is likely referring to his physical training for the role or something else that could be related to pre-production, which should kick off sooner rather than later.
