John Boyega Pushed For More Finn In ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’

John Boyega stated that he asked the filmmakers behind Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to feature more Finn in the next chapter of the saga.

Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduced John Boyega’s Finn to the franchise as a former stormtrooper who fled the First Order and later joined the Resistance. While fans were made aware of the fact that John Boyega’s Finn was taken from his family and sold to the first order at a young age, not much else about the character has been revealed in the Star Wars films, to the disappointment of many fans.

One such fan took to Twitter to express their disappointment over what they perceive to be a wasted opportunity to fully develop John Boyega’s Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. In response, John Boyega appeared to sympathize with the fan’s complain and advised them to give The Rise of Skywalker a chance, as he was “adamant” on seeing more Finn involvement in the final chapter of the main Star Wars saga.
