Should John Boyega become the next Red Hood?
Now that John Boyega is done with Star Wars, he’s obviously going to be on the lookout for the next roles that fascinate him. And although he’ll next join Teyonah Parris and Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s science-fiction mystery, They Cloned Tyrone, he recently endorsed fan art of himself as DC’s Red Hood on Twitter. Fans will already know that Jason Todd is currently played by Curran Walters on Titans, and will transition into Red Hood during the third season.
But Star Wars actor John Boyega retweeted fan art from ‘@Symeona1’ on Twitter which shows the star as Jason Todd in the costume staring into the iconic helmet. While Jason Todd already has a role in Titans, there’s nothing stopping DC from including the second version of Robin in a future version of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. Who knows? All it would take is for Matt Reeves to use time-jumps in between his movies and John Boyega could quite easily become a new version of Red Hood for the DC universe. Take a look at the fan art of the star below.
What do you think of the art showing Star Wars actor John Boyega as DC’s Red Hood? Do you think he should pick up the mantle of Jason Todd in live-action? Or do you like Curran Walters in the role on Titans? Sound-off in the comments below!
Red Hood will next be seen in Gotham Knights, here is the synopsis:
Batman is dead. It is now up to the Batman Family – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin – to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos.
