John Cena Officially Joins The Cast Of ‘Fast & Furious 9’

John Cena has officially joined the cast of Fast & Furious 9.

After a previous announcement from Vin Diesel, it appears John Cena will join the cast of Fast & Furious 9. According to Deadline, Universal officially confirmed John Cena today. Details on the character are currently under wraps, but he is being described as a “badass”.

John Cena’s most recent big screen appearance was in 2018’s Bumblebee. Although fans will have to wait one year for Vin Diesel and John Cena to co-star in Fast & Furious 9, there is another highly-anticipated installment of the franchise coming this summer.

Before Fast & Furious 9 hits theaters, fans will be able to see the series’ first spin-off this year in Hobbs & Shaw. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are returning as their titular roles to reluctantly team-up against Idris Elba’s super-powered villain. Neither John Cena or Vin Diesel have been announced to appear in Hobbs & Shaw but fans will be able to see them together in Fast & Furious 9 very soon.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Fast & Furious 9 as soon as more information becomes available. Would you rather see Vin Diesel and John Cena clash in Fast & Furious 9, or team-up? What kind of character do you suspect John Cena will play in the film? Fast & Furious 9 races into theaters on May 22, 2020.
