According to Variety, Christopher Nolan has tapped John David Washington to star in his next movie. Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, but the project is being described as a “massive, innovative, action blockbuster.”
Christopher Nolan recently completed the script for his next movie and now it’s gearing up to begin production later this year. The project does not yet have a title, but Warner Bros. plans to give it an IMAX release. Nolan is producing it alongside his partner Emma Thomas.
John David Washington broke out in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s HBO show Ballers. On the big screen, Washington was most recently seen in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman and David Lowery’s The Old Man & the Gun.
For comic book fans, Christopher Nolan is best known for directing the Dark Knight trilogy starring Christian Bale. His last project was the WWII action-drama Dunkirk, which won three Academy Awards for Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Film Editing.
Warner Bros has set Christopher Nolan’s next movie for July 17, 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for more updates on the project.
