Christopher Nolan pulled back the curtain a little bit on his upcoming film, Tenet, with the release of an action-packed trailer. In true Nolan fashion, the new trailer just had audiences asking more questions about the film. One of the most interesting elements the trailer revealed is that the film is dealing with inversion, not time travel.
The new Tenet trailer also provided a new glimpse at John David Washington along with Robert Pattinson and others. Based on a new synopsis released by Warner Bros. Pictures, it appears that John David Washington’s character will be known as the Protagonist. “John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.” Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.”
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
