John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ Release Delayed Due To Coronavirus

Paramount has pushed back the release date of John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Part II.

As the coronavirus continues to spread across the globe, people and governments are taking measures to minimize the risk of exposure, which includes avoiding large group gatherings. Now, John Krasinski has announced that the release of A Quiet Place: Part II  has been delayed due to the escalation of the coronavirus outbreak.

In a post on his official Instagram account, John Krasinski stated that due to the “ever-changing circumstances of what’s going on in the world around us,” the release date of A Quiet Place: Part II has been pushed back until audiences can safely see the film together in theaters. Paramount has not yet announced a new release date for the sequel and Krasinski simply concluded his message by saying, “see you soon.”

Check out Krasinski’s message in the post below.

This is not the first time a major theatrical release like A Quiet Place: Part II has been postponed due to the coronavirus. Perhaps most notably, No Time to Die was pushed back from April to November due to the impact of the coronavirus on the global market.

Here is the official synopsis for John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Part II:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

Written and directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place: Part II stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou.
