John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ Earns A PG-13 Rating

John Krasinski’s upcoming film, A Quiet Place: Part II has officially been rated PG-13 by the MPAA.

2018’s A Quiet Place was one of 2018’s big success stories. Directed by and starring John Krasinski, the film was a huge financial success, grossing over $340M worldwide on a $17M budget. The film was also a critical success, earning a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and remains the most successful film that John Krasinski has directed. A sequel was soon greenlit with John Krasinski returning as director.

Over the past few months, Paramount has been putting their marketing machine into work, released trailers and new posters for John Krasinski’s upcoming film. Earlier today, a new poster for A Quiet Place: Part II was released and a new clip was revealed last month. Now, thanks to the MPAA, we now know that A Quite Place: Part II will be taking after its predecessor and maintaining a PG-13 rating. Only time will tell if it uses the rating as well as the first film.

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

Written and directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place: Part II stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou.

A Quiet Place: Part II will be released in theaters on March 20, 2020.
