John Krasinski becomes Green Lantern in awesome artwork that transforms the Jack Ryan actor into the DC Extended Universe’s Hal Jordan.

Created by digital artist Dalton Barrett, the artwork shows John Krasinski (Jack Ryan, A Quiet Place) as the Hal Jordan version of the DC Comics icon Green Lantern. John Krasinski replaces former Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds, who now plays Deadpool.

John Krasinski is a common choice among fans to play Hal Jordan in the highly-anticipated Green Lantern Corps movie. Given his career trajectory thanks to his post-The Office roles in movie and TV projects like A Quiet Place and Amazon’s Jack Ryan, many believe that John Krasinski is due for a big superhero role like Hal Jordan in Green Lantern Corps. 

Beyond him being a common fan favorite choice as Hal Jordan, John Krasinski has been heavily requested to play other superhero roles such as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the Fantastic Four reboot from Marvel Studios.

Green Lantern Corps is currently in development with Geoff Johns on board as a writer and producer. Full details on Green Lantern Corps are currently under wraps, though the project will draw inspiration from Geoff Johns’ work on the New 52 Green Lantern comics with both Hal Jordan and John Stewart set to appear in the film.
