John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place 2’ Release Date Moved Up

In a move that is quite uncommon in the film industry the release date for John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place 2 has been pushed up by a few months.

As you may remember, A Quiet Place was one of 2018’s biggest surprise hits. With a budget of only $17M, the John Krasinski film grossed well over $300M worldwide along with a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. After the film’s success, a sequel was quickly put into the works with John Krasinski signed on to direct. But apparently, we’re going to see the film a bit earlier than expected!

According to a new report from Deadline, John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place 2 has pushed up from its release date by a few months. The report states that the film will be released on March 20th, 2020 instead of its initial release date of May 15th of 2020. Given the fact that the film will only be changed by a few months, it is highly doubtful that it will affect the quality of the upcoming film.

What do you all make of this news? Are you excited to see a sequel to A Quiet Place? Does John Krasinski have the chops to be a great director? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

The first film followed a family’s struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic inhabited by extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing, which forced humans to remain silent in order to avoid becoming prey. The story concluded with Emily Blunt’s Evelyn Abbot preparing to take on the creatures as they invaded the home she took shelter in with her children and husband (who sacrificed himself to save his family) after discovering a way to defeat them.

A Quiet Place 2 is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on March 20th, 2020.
