See John Krasinski As Reed Richards For Jon Watts’ ‘Fantastic Four’

Stretch!

A new concept design for the Jon Watts-directed Fantastic Four reboot imagines John Krasinski suited up as Reed Richards.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased the inclusion of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during a Hall-H panel back in 2019. A few weeks ago, the Fantastic Four reboot was finally confirmed with Spider-Man helmer Jon Watts on board to direct a new version of Marvel’s first family. Watts is currently busy filming Spider-Man 3, but will most likely begin work on Fantastic Four soon after. John Krasinski was notably up for Captain America before Chris Evans nabbed the role, but many see him as a much better fit for the next Reed Richards.

Reed Richards was played by Ioan Gruffudd in the Fantastic Four films from the early 2000s while Miles Teller took on the role in Josh Trank’s 2015 reboot. It’s unclear how Jon Watts and Marvel Studios will revitalize the Fantastic Four with the team’s third reboot, but many see John Krasinski as a step in the right direction. Still not convinced that Krasinski is a good fit for Reed Richards? This concept design from Instagram user  “death.steak_art” might convince you otherwise. Check out the artwork below.

What do you think of the artwork? Do you think John Krasinski is the best choice for Reed Richards? If not, who do you think could be better? Feel free to share your top pick in the comments section below!

Here’s the synopsis for 2015’s Fantastic Four:

A contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Directed by Josh Trank, 2015’s Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller, Michael B Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell, Reg E. Cathey, and Tim Blake Nelson.

Fantastic Four is available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital. Stay tuned for the latest news on John Krasinski, Jon Watts and the Fantastic Four, and be sure to check out and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more great video content in the future!
