‘John Wick’ Spoof Sees Title Character’s Dog Take Revenge

Youtube Channel RocketJump has just released a spoof of John Wick in time for the sequel. In the spoof trailer, John's dog is the one seeking justice.

The entire plot of 2014’s John Wick is kicked off with a gangster’s murder of the title assassin’s dog, causing the anti-hero to go on a rampage to get revenge against the mob. But what if the roles were reversed, and the dog decided to take on the mob to avenge his fallen owner? That’s what RocketJump’s short trailer sets out to answer.

RocketJump’s trailer was made in part to promote John Wick: Chapter 2, which hits select theaters in select theaters on Thursday before getting into a wide release on Friday. RocketJump’s staff have already seen the movie and have enjoyed it, stating that it’s definitely for the crowd of people who like seeing movies about Keanu Reeves shooting things. The sequel’s premise is as follows:

Legendary hitman John Wick is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome, where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.

John Wick: Chapter 2 will gun for a February 10, 2017 release date. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Common, Laurence Fishburne, Riccardo Scamarcio, Ruby Rose, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane. John Wick: Chapter 3 is already in early development.
