Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker Gets A Classic Look In New Image

Earlier today saw the release of the first trailer for Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix and the artists of the internet continue to give the character new looks based around the actor.

This latest image comes courtesy of artist jscomicart who seemed to be over the moon for the trailer for the upcoming film. As an apparent response, the artist posted an image of Joaquin Phoenix in a more classic look for the character. This version of the Joker has his more traditional outfit as well as the classic makeup.

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.
