Joaquin Phoenix Poses As Joker In Final Set Photos As Production Wraps

Daily Mail has unveiled new Joker set photos as production on the Joaquin Phoenix film wraps in New York.

After roughly three months of filming in New York, production on the Joker has concluded and Joaquin Phoenix offered onlookers a new look at the classic Batman villain while posing for still photos. The set images also reveal Phoenix filming a scene as Arthur Fleck, the Clown Prince of Crime’s alter-ego in this version of the story, while standing at the top of a stairway while Zazie Beetz approaches the bottom steps.

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.
