‘Batman: Arkham’ Easter Egg Spotted In ‘Joker’ Set Photo

A familiar Joker location from the famed Batman: Arkham video game series looks like it will be in the upcoming Todd Phillips film.

Images from the Joker movie are making their way online, successfully igniting all kinds of speculation on what fans will get in this origin story. One savvy DC fan has noticed an Easter Egg that most will recognize from the Arkham games. The connection can be found in one of the wide shots released with the other set photos. The pic contains Joaquin Phoenix’s character Arthur talking to another clown.

You can check out the post below.

Amusement Mile was a location that players navigated the Dark Knight through in order to thwart the plans of the Clown Prince of Crime. From the looks of this image, it probably won’t be as outlandish as the location looked in the games, but grounded as part of the highly anticipated origin film. This is a good start to the long list of Easter Eggs this film will undoubtedly have when it finally releases next year.

What are your thoughts on this connection between the Joker film and the Arkham games? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Joker hits theaters October 4, 2019
