However, before Ben Affleck was ultimately cast as Bruce Wayne, Josh Brolin had been up for the role.

This artwork imagines Avengers star Josh Brolin in a Batman suit that is nearly identical to the outfit Ben Affleck wore for his role as the Dark Knight in the DC Extended Universe.

Unfortunately for fans of Ben Affleck’s Batman, his time as the Caped Crusader has come to an end. Now, Robert Pattinson will play a new version of Bruce Wayne in a new Batman movie from War for the Planet of the Apes helmer Matt Reeves, meaning Justice League will be Ben Affleck’s final outing as the Dark Knight.
Josh Brolin, on the other hand, portrayed Thanos in the two most recent Avengers films. However, Josh Brolin’s time as Thanos has also seemingly come to and as the Mad Titan was erased from existence by Tony Stark during the climactic battle of Avengers: Endgame.
