Josh Brolin has been busy this year as Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, following up his role from last year’s Infinity War. However, he also played Cable in Deadpool 2, making him a rare actor to be seen as two different characters in two Marvel films. As Cable, he had a cybernetic arm like his character from the X-Force comics. Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz, who worked on Deadpool 2, has revealed an alternative design for Cable’s arm on his Instagram. Check it out below.
This alternate design emphasizes on more blues and greens in Josh Brolin’s arm. It has a more cybernetic look and feel to it, as opposed to the final design that looks a little less organic.
Deadpool 2 saw a re-release in theaters before the new year as Once Upon a Deadpool. While Josh Brolin’s Cable makes an appearance in this film, his future in the role is uncertain. Since the Disney-Fox merger has been finalized, it’s unclear where Deadpool and the others will lineup in Disney’s release schedule.
What do you think of this alternate design for Cable’s arm? Do you like it better than the final design? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments!
Josh Brolin’s Cable was last seen in Deadpool 2. Here’s a synopsis for the movie:

Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
Directed by David Leith from a script written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy.
