Now that both Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War are on home video, we’ve been getting a consistent stream of behind-the-scenes footage and concept art that show us exactly what it took to get some of the most ambitious films ever made. A film on the scale of Avengers: Endgame has a plethora of concept art to back all of the design choices made in the film. An area that always has multiple pieces of  concept art attached to it is costumes and character looks. With so many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, things are bound to change as characters progress.

When it came to Josh Brolin’s Thanos, concept artist Jerad S. Marantz knew that he had to go big to show off the characters ferocious side. The concept artist thought that Josh Brolin’s Thanos should have an armor that was Spartan-like for Avengers: Endgame. You can check out an early design for Josh Brolin’s Thanos below. The early concept art is certainly more revealing of Thanos’ skin unlike the final design we received in Avengers: Endgame. This suit is also noticeably less bulky and seems to be more of an organic fit. However, it also doesn’t fully show off how much of a beast Josh Brolin’s Thanos is.
