A gruesome new scene cut from Avengers: Endgame has been revealed thanks to one of the concept artists who worked on the film. Thanks to Avengers: Endgame‘s already impressive runtime, it isn’t surprising that there are plenty of ideas that were left behind when the Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige were working on the film. But this gory scene showed the methods that Josh Brolin’s Thanos was using to keep an eye on the Avengers is particularly impressive.
According to Jerad S. Merantz, the Avengers: Endgame scene involved Josh Brolin’s Thanos using the Outriders to spy on the team, though it isn’t clear where or when in the timeline he was doing this. But when the Outriders would report back, Josh Brolin’s Thanos would rip their heads off and mount them into projectors so he could watch their memories back. That’s a surprisingly brutal method of surveillance there, Thanos. Take a look at the concept artist discussing the gruesome Avengers: Endgame scene below.
