Josh Brolin, who will play Cable in the highly-anticipated 'Deadpool 2' shows off his physical training in preparation for his new role.
For every actor that has the privilege of portraying a comic book character on the big screen, physical training is inevitable. Of course, given that Cable is famously illustrated as one of the more bulky mutants in the comics, Josh Brolin has to get into the best possible shape so audiences will be able to see the live-action big screen Cable we’ve always wanted to see.
Recently, Josh Brolin shared a photo on his Instagram account in which he is seen at the gym pumping iron to get in shape for Cable. As you can see, he ain’t playing around here:
Former NFL fullback Heath Evans also shared a photo on his official Instagram. In this image, we see him standing alongside Josh Brolin, playfully calling him “Old Boy” (in reference to his previous performance in Spike Lee’s remake of the Park Chan-wook film of the same name).
And look at him go! Josh Brolin has showcased a stunning physical presence onscreen throughout his filmography. One can simply flashback to when he first appeared in Richard Donner’s The Goonies, where we see him as Brand. And since then, his stunning versatility has showcased how much talent he has displayed for decades.
