Josh Trank Continues To Trash His ‘Fantastic Four’ Movie

Director Josh Trank shared a hilarious image on Twitter using the Avenge The Fallen tagline from Avengers: Endgame for his failed Fantastic Four reboot.

To this point in time, it’s an understatement to say that Josh Trank doesn’t like his Fantastic Four film. Josh Trank’s said again and again that the film went under several issues while filming and production so the version that was released in theaters was a disaster. Josh Trank constantly throws shade at his own film and its usual to see him trash it on social media. Josh Trank even deleted his credits as the film’s director from his Instagram bio.

As you may know, Avengers: Endgame has a net set of character posters which features the tagline Avenge The Fallen with each of their characters; if the character died in Infinity War, the poster’s all blacked out, if the character is alive, the poster is fully colored. Well, Josh Trak took advantage of this and made a montage using a Fantastic Four poster and his own face replacing stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, and Kate Mara. Check it out:

Fantastic Four was an utter failure among critics and fans alike, who were eagerly waiting for a solid reboot after the Marvel Cinematic Universe proved to be a massive success. Nevertheless, when even the director of a film feels disappointed by how his own project turns out in the end, there’s little to be salvaged. Josh Trank’s film lacked a strong plot, a good script and character development which all translated in a rather huge letdown. Unfortunately, Josh Trank’s directorial career has been stagnated ever since with no films after Fantastic Four in 2015.

After Disney acquired Fox, it seems that the possibility of a third Fantastic Four reboot is more likely than ever. Marvel Studios seems to have perfected the formula for its superhero films and the next phase for the MCU seems like a perfect opportunity to see Reed Richards and company adequately fleshed out in the silver screen once and for all.
