Yeah, of course. Although I tend more towards the Jessica Jones-ey kind of stories than the delightful Supergirl stories that my daughter wants.
While he won’t be working on their upcoming Captain Marvel solo film, Whedon is very excited about seeing a female character finally getting the spotlight on the big screen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The director briefly commented on that one and gave full credit to Kevin Feige for getting that film going.
Kevin Feige fought a mighty fight to get her on the schedule. So it’s a start. You could say that should be a middle, but it’s a start.
Now, while some might assume that was a shot at Marvel Studios lack of female driven franchise currently, the start he was referring to was directed at Hollywood as a whole. Are there any female characters over at Marvel Studios that you’d like to see Whedon take a crack at?
