‘Jumanji’ Star Kevin Hart’s Accident Won’t Have An Affect On Sequel; Other Projects In Limbo

Kevin Hart’s car accident won’t have an impact on his upcoming Jumanji sequel, but his other projects are currently in jeopardy.

Earlier this week, Jumanji: The Next Level star underwent back surgery major back surgery after sustaining injuries in a car accident on Sunday. While the surgery was a success, Kevin Hart will require weeks of physical therapy and routine follow-up appointments, leaving some fans concerned about how this might impact the upcoming Jumanji sequel and the actor’s future projects.

Fortunately, TZM sources informed the outlet that Kevin Hart had already completed work on Jumanji: The Next Level and wrapped on another project, Fatherhood, days before the accident. However, Kevin Hart’s future in other projects such as My Own Worst Enemy, in which he was supposed to star and produce, remains uncertain.

According to TMZ, Kevin Hart’s team will not comment on how the accident impacts his role in My Own Worst Enemy. However, the outlet notes that they may not know the answer at this time because Kevin Hart remains heavily medicated due to the pain resulting from his injury.

In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. Jumanji: The Next Level will be released in theaters on December 13, 2019.
