‘Jurassic World 2’ Promotional Image Teases Dinosaur Thrills

Jurassic World brought back the prehistoric wonders of Isla Nublar, and a new poster suggests we shouldn't expect the focus on dinosaurs to stop.

The first tease at Jurassic World 2 has arrived, and it suggests that a particularly dangerous dinosaur is going to make a return.

License Global just revealed the first promotional image of Jurassic World 2, and from the looks of things, we’re dealing with a terrifying dinosaur – a very clever girl:

From the looks of things, we might be seeing the return of the Indominus Rex, the genetically-engineered super-dinosaur that single-handedly shut down the Jurassic World theme park in the previous movie. Considering that she got chomped on by the massive Mosasaurus and dragged underwater after taking a significant amount of abuse from several humans, a Velociraptor, and even a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it’s safe to say that this isn’t the same dino. So where exactly is this new I. Rex coming from? Hopefully, we’ll get an answer soon (and hopefully, they won’t be continuing with that silly “tactical dinosaurs” plot thread that they alluded to in the previous movie, as Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow seemed to be a bit dismissive of the idea).

Jurassic World 2 opens on June 22, 2018. Its cast includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, B. D. Wong, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, James Cromwell, and Geraldine Chaplin.
