‘Jurassic World 2’ Behind-The-Scenes Image Teases Ian Malcolm’s Return

Producer Colin Trevorrow teases the return of Jeff Goldblum's Jurassic Park character in Jurassic World 2 with a behind-the-scenes photo.

Not that long ago, we learned that Jeff Goldblum was announced to be reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World 2. Now, the movie’s producer Colin Trevorrow (who directed the record-breaking first installment) has released a set image suggesting that Goldblum has either already begun filming for his third Jurassic Park role, or that he will start filming shortly.

Trevorrow released the following image on Twitter – a set image with Goldblum’s chair awaiting the actor to take a seat in it.

Goldblum has stated that he thinks of Dr. Malcolm being the same person that he was in the two movies that he already appeared in, so it should be interesting to see how he’ll react to how things have changed – and more importantly, how they haven’t. Goldblum has also noted that he’s a fan of J. A. Bayona’s previous directorial effort, The Impossible, and he looks forward to working with him and the rest of the team. Goldblum noted that Bayona told him that a central theme of greed will be prevalent in the dinosaur-filled sequel.

Jurassic World 2 opens on June 22, 2018. Its cast includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, B. D. Wong, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, James Cromwell, and Geraldine Chaplin.
