‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Production Put On Hold After Positive COVID-19 Tests

Director Colin Trevorrow has revealed production on Jurassic World: Dominion has come to a halt after a few crew members tested positive for COVID-19.

Jurassic World: Dominion was one of the first productions to restart after shutting down amid the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. While the upcoming sequel got back on track early, Universal recently decided to delay the film to 2022. Now the inevitable has happened in terms of production during these times with several crew members testing positive for the virus.

Colin Trevorrow confirmed the news on his Twitter account by sharing a post mentioning that a few people tested positive, but received negative results afterwards. Trevorrow went onto say that because of the safety protocols put into place, filming on Jurassic World: Dominion will not resume for another two weeks. The post also featured an image of a practical dinosaur with a mask on, in line with what the director has said in the past about the sequel featuring more animatronics.
